Since we care for children, it is not possible to give everyone appointments in the late afternoon. Children under the age of seven (7) are in a better frame of mind and have a more positive experience in the morning. The best time for appointments is not after school when your child is tired of sitting and needs to be physically active. Younger children need rest at this time of the day. We prefer to see children requiring long appointment procedures in the morning. We prefer to reserve the afternoons for hygiene appointments and less complex procedures.
A parent or Legal Guardian must be present with all minors, under the age of 18, for all appointments. If a parent or Legal Guardian is not available to accompany their child, prior authorization is required.
We will attempt to contact you either by phone, text or email prior to your child’s scheduled appointment. This is a courtesy reminder; your child’s appointment is considered confirmed when the appointment is scheduled. If you need to make a change to your child’s scheduled appointment, we require 2 business days’ notice so we can re-appoint your child quickly and offer the appointment to another child in need of treatment. A $50 fee may be applied to your account if the appointment is missed or cancelled without 2 business days’ notice. Exceptions to this policy will be determined on an individual, case-by-case basis, according to circumstances.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your child’s appointment time to fill out any necessary paperwork and update your child’s medical history. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your child’s appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. Contingent upon the day’s schedule, your child may be able to be worked in. If you agree to do so, you must wait until an appointment time is available or another patient cancels.
